Yeah, that does seem to be the consensus. Eye of the Storm being worse then Scream Aim Fire.

Still looking forward to the album though. I for one enjoyed The Poison and hope they keep some of the sound of that rather than this plain Metallica-esque sound they seem to be going for.

as much as the Crusade sucked, this so far looks like it will be worse

talk about another band to bring disappointment with a new release. i didn't even think they were that bad before, sure a little generic, but they had a couple of catchy songs here and there. but oh well, seems they just wanted to join the line of bands with shitty newer albums such as: Still Remains, Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium, etc.This Message Edited On 12.10.07

Yeah I am incredibly disappointed with the vocals on this one especially. I'm trying to tell myself Scream Aim Fire won't be the best song on the record but unfortunately I just can't convince myself.

plz this is better than there old shit had horrible whiney, oh im going to cry vocals that were play annoying and shitty. The guitar work isn't the best, but i still think this will be better than The Crusade, atleast he doesn't drag his vocals.

I'm not sure where you're getting any kind of Trivium or Metallica comparisons in the vocals... it's not there at all... that sounds like a bullshit cop-out comparison. If anything it sounds like Dave Mustaine if he had just done helium.
Either way, those nasally vocals are horrible.

When they started working this, they said they were going for a Metallica like move... I haven't listened to those songs and can't right now, but when I do I really hope they are better than you guys say.

Eye Of the Storm was distributed in Kerrang magazine recently (I didn't buy it, of course) and it was meh apparently.
I really like SAF though.

As for the Metallica reference, yeah, they kinda sound like them, but his vocals are still the same in terms of the Poison's clean vocals...at least to my ears they are.

Is not as bad as you guys said, but the vocals annoyed me, I want the Poison vocals back. I like the music, but a litle too dirty for my taste.

The old vocals were a little to "mommy I want an ice cream or I will cry" for me. These vocals are atleast decent, and they sound better than Triviums Metallica wannabe vocals. The guitar work tho isn't as good as Triviums. So i see another 2.5 comeing from these guys in there future.

Triviums are worse, The New BFMV vocals are a better of two evils.
