best rap song-

Crank That (Soulja Boy)
Soulja Boy Tell'Em, songwriter (Soulja Boy Tell'Em)
[Collipark/Interscope Records]

I believe that's an epic fail...

seriously, I saw about 2 bands that deserved to be on this list... and then the rest was complete crap.

well, at least Herbie Hancock is nominated. along with Neon Bible being up for best alternative album. all in all though this is as disappointing as any other Grammy year. when will anybody learn that the music that the Grammys feed us is crap, pure and simple.

this is a joke right? though some stuff looks right but a lot of it is surely BAD BAD BAD.

and rather then Streetlight or Thrice have nominated for album of the year they have foo fighter and Kanye.

i think Rihanna deserves song of the year for Umbrella, the whole world loved it but not the record of the year lol

I know the Grammys always suck, but I am shocked by how bad these are.
If Crank Dat wins best rap song I'm moving to Canada.

I wonder what will happen when adults like the ones who pick Grammy nominations realize how truly dirty Crank Dat is.

Gross. Although the "Best Alternative Album" is approximately 2/5ths decent. I'm rooting for the Shins, although Arcade Fire wouldn't really upset me either.

Although I stopped being upset at the Grammy's long ago. I feel so sorry for this country, lol.

Junos are shit as well.

But Feist, Beck, Tool, QOTSA, all get nods, which is cool. And umbrella definitely should get song of the year.

Go Herbie Hancock! I really want that CD, he looks like such a badass on the cover. Aside from that, the Grammys looks as depressing as I expected, especially for the rock section. But come on, it's the Grammys.

What is the difference between song of the year and record of the year? Isn't it the same thing?

SHOULDN'T it be the same thing?
