if i produced my own music why would i pay to buy it...in fact why is he downloading it? surely he would already have it on his own pc.

Failing to see why this is even an issue. This was reported days ago, quite suprised that new about Mars Volta and now news about Radiohead has been posted as recent news in the last few days despite it being old news.
