Some Mike Patton news

2006-05-24 by niobium | 10 Comments
Peeping Tom is set to release their self-titled debut on May 30th, through Patton's own Ipecac label. The first single will be "Mojo", which they will perform on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on Friday, May 26th. The performance will feature Mike Patton, Dan the Automator, Rahzel, Rob Swift, Miho Hatori of Cibi Matto and the might Dub Trio.

Faith No More just released a DVD compilation of "Live at the Brixton Acadamy" and "Video Croissant" yesterday. It features the entire 1991 performance at Brixton, and disc two contains all the group's music videos. Hopefully it contains some extra goodies, so everyone: go out and buy it.

Mike Patton, along with bassist Trevor Dunn and drummer Joey Baron, have released a new album, "Moonchild", on John Zorn's Tzadik label. Quite literally, it is a drum and bass album, but these are Zorn's compositions, so anyone can guess what the album sounds like.

Firecracker, Mike Patton's moive debut, will be released July 4th. It has been a highly acclaimed film, and shows Patton playing the roles of two main characters. There will be much anticipation leading up to the release, I'm sure.

This sounds like sex. Patton and Automator are two great musicians.

Automater only appears on one track.

It's one of the weaker ones too.
