I'm not into Lamb of God, but this might actually be fun to download and mess around with.

Industry pioneers LAMB OF GOD...

Cool, maybe I could make the vocals actually good. This Message Edited On 11.08.07

They're already all mixed and mastered so there's not a lot you can do aside from move stuff, change levels, pan or whatever
It's kind of just dumb PR to call remixing a bunch of tracks "producing", I don't really see the point unless you want to make LoG club remixesThis Message Edited On 11.08.07

You could always edit in audacity and change the pitch of his voice and stuff, which could turn out really funny.
|
| |
I just think it would be much funnier if they released all the unmixed and unedited tracks, just the original takes, because I'm sure the vocals would sound hilarious
|
| |
The vocals already sound hilarious.
|
| |
You're not re-recording the parts dude...
|
| |
The vocals already sound hilarious. I know but they've been mastered and edited a thousand times over so just imagine taking a lot of polish off a turd if that analogy works for you
|
| |
You could take them and alter the structures, cut the riffs and loop them more.... basically make it an industrial album... could be fun to just screw around with...and it's actually for Mac too
|
| |
So wait, you can't cut out the vocals altogether?
|
| |
It sounds like you could cut them out altogether... it says that all the different parts have been separated, so conceivably you should be able to make it an instrumental or add your own vocals.
|
| |
Sounds like a lot of fun!
|
| |
I wish I could do this with a band I liked. :p
|
| |
LOG is one of those fag bands that are desperately trying to be tr00 since the past few years.
|
| |
Thats some ignorant shit to be saying Sylent. They've been around for atleast 12 years playing their own sound and developing it. Trying to be troo, what a bunch of ****
|

intelligent comments across the board for this piece of news
|
| |
This idea isn't all that new, actually. Nine Inch Nails did it some years ago and David Byrne and Brian Eno recently.
|
| |
Personally, I love his voice. Live they were pretty good.
|
| |
Sounds like a good idea to boost album sales...... maybe?
I didn't know so many people hated LoG.
Because they are the popular band in metal and all the purists need to rant about something of commercial relevance. Because you know, if you gain popularity in the metal world, you obviously sold out and suck. This Message Edited On 11.10.07

you guys make me sick.
if a band isnt "tr00" you HAVE to spam how bad they are. i think they're a great band, and no one wants to hear comments about them being bad.
this news article isnt even about how good/bad they are, so don't start saying they are pretentious ("trying to be troo") or shit like that.
|
| |
...interesting.
|
| |
Lots of LoG hate here...why exactly? I like the comment by "Subtle Dagger", who somehow seems to have surmised that Blythes extreme vocals (which can actually be understood as he sings them, unlike a lot of other metal bands) have been "mastered and edited a thousand times over." How much expierience in the field of of musical production do you have exactly? And even if his voice is edited, remastered, etc, what difference does that make if the music sounds good? (unless, of course, you are a metal "purist", or as I like to call them "narrow minded".) Everything is remastered and edited these days anyway
|
| |
Idea is relatively cool. But I really wouldn't be arsed with this sort of thing.
|
| |
is this available yet? and if yes, where?
