Mercenary working on new album

2007-11-03 by deathtotheinfidels | 14 Comments
Danish metal band Mercenary have finished recording the vocals for their upcoming album on Century Media Records.

Vocalist Mikkel Sandager says that the new album will be much heavier and darker than their last effort, "The Hours that Remain."

I am excited.

Yeah, The Hours that Remain was good, but 11 Dreams was great. Has anyone heard their previous efforts before 11 Dreams?

Awesome, I always thought that The Hours that Remain could have used some more heaviness and darkness.

Remember that time that Avenged Sevenfold said their S/T would be like Metallica's S/T? Yea. Don't trust the artist's opinion.

Its always much harder to give an opinion of your own work, thats why when people criticise artists for saying something about their own work that they believe to be wrong, it annoys me.
Still, I have yet to check out these guys.
Recommend?

They didn't say it would sound like Metallica's s/t at all. They just compared the two because of how they would progress from previous efforts.

Besides, go bitch about it in an Avenged forum.

Meh I don't care that the album was bad, and I thought people might get confused about the way I phrased that. I meant that Shadows had just compared to two in musical progression.

Regardless, I'm sure if I even KNEW the location of such a forum, my mind might explode out of sheer stupidity

11 Dreams is recommended but it gets boring quickly.

Two most common false/hyping statements that artists make:

1. This album will be much heavier and darker
2. This album will be more experimental while still keeping our roots
