Down Swear a Blood Oath 2026-08-19 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 4 Comments | Down have announced that their long-awaited fifth studio album, Volume V, will arrive on November 20 through Nuclear Blast Records.
The ten-track release will be the southern metal supergroup's first full-length album since 2007's Over the Under. It follows the band's two Down IV EPs, issued in 2012 and 2014.
The announcement is accompanied by Blood Oath, the first single from the record, along with an official music video. Earlier this year, Down signed with Nuclear Blast and released a cover of Dr. John's Right Place, Wrong Time.
The tracklist for Volume V is:
1. The Myth
2. Merciful Fate
3. Turn Out the Light
4. The Message
5. Causeway Grief
6. Blood Oath
7. They Walk the Night
8. They Came from Dust
9. Ozz
10. Twice-Told Tales

kinda dig it, but at the same time kinda feel like not much is going on

They sound old and tired...disappointing.

They always sounded slow and tired, and now they are obviously old. Anyway, DOWN is one of my favorite supergroups and i dig the new track so i will listen to the album when it comes out.
