eventually this band will just be Corey Taylor and the clown guy on stage together jerkin each other off.

Lol 😂

It's still real to me dammit.
For a band whose initial gimmick was secrecy/mystery, it's semi funny how now this decade has been nothing but drama discourse about the members. They should do a shot for shot remake of some kind of monster
|
| |
(double post) only other thing I can say is I hope they're all healthy
|
| |
They're all rich guys. I bet they'll be way better off than you and me...

"For a band whose initial gimmick was secrecy/mystery, it's semi funny how now this decade has been nothing but drama discourse about the members. They should do a shot for shot remake of some kind of monster"
It's why I said in another Slipknot thread that they should just sell the image rights to a label and let the label gamify the group by creating a 9-member refresh of the band every few years and drag out the mystique of recruiting members and not revealing their identities. Unfortunately it's an outdated idea considering the prominence of social media, but at least it would bring this mess of a band full circle.
Also, that one sentence statement from the band was rude as fuck. They really do not give a shit about you once you've become expendable. Any nerd can spin a record and wicka-wicka at 10% of Sid's going rate.

Who's like the only OG member that is left in the band?
|
| |
Clown
|
| |
I didn't even know this band had a keyboardist. The fuck did he even play on stage?
|
| |
lots of effects that are buried in the mix. duality is a good example of a song where he is present, he's just at the forefront
|
| |
this band lmao
|
| |
"this band lmao"
one cannot simply deny that they've got a respectable amount of followers, even now, even on this site...
|
| |
I cannot deny that because this band is everywhere.
Every time I see someone in a Slipknot, Korn or Rammstein shirt, my reaction is pretty much "nice fit, the band is garbage".
|
| |
Bold statement as an Avenged Sevenfold lover
|
| |
I still have some respect for them largely because they were my gateway to "extreme/underground" metal some 25 years ago. Nowdays, however, I just can't stand them....
|
| |
The statements are getting more and more aggressive. Next one will be
"Jim Root is no longer part of Slipknot. You will never find his body. We wish him the best in his future endeavours"
|
| |
The fact they lasted 11 years with a stable line-up (end of S/T recording in 1999 through to Paul Gray's death in 2010) is somewhat miraculous for a 9 member band but honestly feels about time they call it a day.
|
| |
eloy is a phenomenal drummer which is a shame since his talents are being wasted in this band now
|
| |
no craig and no sid = no slipknot
all the little textures and samply-synthy-scratchy indentions are what made the band somewhat cool
take away that and you're left with bogstandard drop-whatever nu metal + some blastbeats
excited for the new stone sour album tho
