It feels silly to be so sentimental over a non-paying role on an offbeat music site, but this is just so cool. I remember being a nerdy introvert and browsing the front page on this site for hours on end back in high school - it's how I discovered some of my favorite bands.

Just never thought in a million years back then that I'd be a regularly active member on this site as an adult, let alone staff.

It's not silly at all. I was proud when I got promoted. It's an indication that you're good at something you enjoy, and it is always nice to receive that affirmation from your peers who voted you in.

Same here, Plat. This site was super important to me in those formative years, and it's just as important to me today. Feels great to have made it this far. I've had paid writing positions before, but none of them felt as validating as this does.

yeah its cool to actually be able to do some stuff behind the scenes. wonder if i'm able to exactly tweak some ratings. most times its reasonable but sometimes i'm closer to a middle rating.
