Your Favorite Toy, Foo Fighters 2026-02-20 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 5 Comments | Foo Fighters return with their 12th studio album, Your Favorite Toy, due out on April 24 via Roswell/Columbia Records. The band shared the title track, which is the second single off the LP, after "Asking for a Friend", released last October. It is unclear at the moment if Ilan Rubin played drums on it or Dave handled the respective parts again.
“‘Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album,” Grohl mentioned. “We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”

These guys are so cooked. Literally not made anything beyond ok for over a decade and a half

FF has been such a boring band for years. I did like Sonic Highways and Wasting Light is great, as are their first 3 albums…other than that, they make bland and inconsistent albums.
This is pretty decent though. Not great, not bad. But I’m not holding out hopes that the album will be good.
