Chrocktikal, a four-member Korean band formed under Dreamcatcher Company, announced their debut with a LP to be released on January 15th.

The band is led by Dreamcatcher member Lee Siyeon, who's also the vocalist and producer. The other members include bassist Lee Junyoung (former IZ member), drummer Je Gwanwoo and guitarist and producer Lee Wonseok.

Their debut LP "We break, you awake" includes 11 tracks, with a 12th bonus track being vinyl-exclusive.

yeah, it's okay, there are various questionable project names in Kpop. the album is okay, but nothing special IMO. it would've been nice had they stuck around as Dreamcatcher for a few more years, things were going good for them. they were fun live too

Feel like (at least some of) the members really wanted to try different things - the money was always there but idol life is pretty grueling.
In Siyeon's case, she always had rock band dreams so this feels a bit like a passion project.

I'm really liking the album but I do wish the track list was a bit different, the second half slows down considerably. Siyeon and Wonseok are clearly fresh as producers so I imagine they can refine this style further if they stick around.

True, the idol lifestyle takes its toll on most people in the industry. Plus, Dreamcatcher strayed from rock in the last 2-3 years of activities, becoming more "mainstream". At this point, Siyeon should consider serious touring, it helps more for rock bands than kpop style promotional activities.

They're preparing some lucky draw events for europe, definitely testing the waters for touring. Dreamcatcher was one of the first low/medium popularity girl groups to lean heavily on international touring, so hopefully DCC has not unlearned the lesson.
