I'm not super knowledgeable on the band, but it kinda reads like they enjoyed working with their previous vocalist so much for the reunion show that they just decided to entirely bring her back as the current vocalist.

Hoping it was more amicable than that though.

Only the band members, former and current, know what transpired, but I don't think it's a matter of enjoyment, more than it is a matter of circumstances (the 30th anniversary of Mandylion) and success of the live reunion.

The above said, I'm almost sure the departure is amicable, because when Silje was with child, the band waited as long as needed for her.

Silje is great and those last two albums with her are great, but the hype would reach unprecedented levels if they announce they're releasing new music with Anneke

I liked the albums with her on them. I think she actually even helped them get out of a rut. However, I think the amount of attention they're getting with Anneke has surprised them, and they're obviously seriously considering the next step.
