Rob Zombie, the great Satan

2025-10-11 by Simon K. STAFF | 11 Comments
It’s been four years since the release of Rob Zombie’s last album, The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy. In that time both long-time members John 5 and Piggy D have left the band to pursue other opportunities – the former joining Motley Crue, the latter Marilyn Manson. For long-time fans, they will be pleased to know these vacancies have been filled with original members Mike Riggs and Rob “Blasko” Nicholson on guitar and bass, respectively. Now, the band has announced a full-length album, titled The Great Satan, penned for release 27th February. Accompanying the announcement is their first single off the record, titled “Punks and Demons”, which brings Zombie's sound back to his roots.

You can listen to the single below:

"The Great Satan" track listing:
01. F.T.W. 84
02. Tarantula

I’m not a big RZ fan (love White Zombie though!) but the single isn’t bad. Very punky.

Channelling a little Ministry and it's got some groove to it, def liking it more than the last few albums alone.

massive white zombie vibes with this one. still not sure if i like it all that much, but it's certainly different, which is exactly what he needed.

the old guard was becoming very stale; their last couple albums weren't great. glad mike and blasko are back into the fold, hopefully we'll see a more aggressive sound rather than the goofy grindhouse horror schtick they've been riding for so long.

Sounds grittier than the last singles, curious to hear the record.
