Soulfly Storm the Gates 2025-08-28 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 9 Comments | 3 years after their last effort Totem and a period that saw Max Cavalera revisit his earliest material with Cavalera Conspiracy, Soulfly have released details of their 13th album Chama, due out 24 October 2025 via Nuclear Blast.
To coincide with the album's announcement, the band have released the first single, "Storm the Gates". Notably, the song returns to the nu/groove metal sound of their first 4 albums, albeit with a greater thrash influence than the aforementioned efforts. The album was again produced by Arthur Rizk and is the first since 2018's Ritual not to feature bassist Mike Leon. It is not yet known if touring guitarist Mike DeLeon and bassist Chase Bryant performed on the album.
