we are so back guys. feel like it's the year 2000 all over again
| |
that mix is awesome
| |
I like the whole song outside of the chorus tbh but I'm still pretty hyped.
| |
Yeah the production is slick af. Just wish there was a bit more to Ryan’s playing
| |
We are so damn back
Song is sick. Chad sounds great. Wish there was more Ryan [2]
| |
I'M GONNA BREAK YOUR FUCKIN NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECKKK
| |
Interesting
| |
Simplisitic but pretty fun. Better than most material they've done since L.D. 50! Production is definitely a highlight
| |
As a single, not bad. As a comeback single? Not so much. Hey, glad they're back. I'm not gonna complain.
| |
this headline lmao
good for them, good for them
| |
that was about as bad as it's gonna get
| |
Song is alright
| |
NU is back and its needed. Bad ass song. We need that slap bass again
| |
could be yt but it sounds super compressed and ass. chorus is mind numbingly repetitive. wanted to like this but it aint it
| |
sure its compressed, where do you come from? eheh XD
| |
Not a big fan of the chorus, but overall a solid song! Definitely the closest thing to LD50 that they've probably ever done. Hope theres a new album on the way
| |
more human than human
| |
Neat. Cautiously optimistic for the album.
| |
It ain't bad.
| |
Slapz
| |
“more human than human”
100%
| |
It's a bit repetitive and I wish Ryan was a little more present in the mix, but Chad sounds awesome. Definitely excited for more.
| |
>wrong you're in the official lyrics
hellyeah influence rubbing off on main band lmoa
not a fan, needs louder slap bass and better EVERYTHING else
| |
The thing is, the lack of Ryan’s presence can be felt as far back as lost and found. It a lot of the reason why I think their quality waned album to album. I was kinda hoping they were gonna go full LD50 if they decided to write new music — lyrics and all — but it seems like they’re carrying on from where they left off.
Not complaining though; while it is agonisingly simplistic lyrically, the production is really nice, chad sounds great, and the music sounds slightly more focused and heavy.
| |
Feels more like a track to showcase chad than anything else. Here’s hoping we get more instrumental-focused songs in the album
| |
Can anyone help me understand why LD 50 was being compared to Slipknot
at the time it released?
| |
As someone who really only loves L.D. 50 era, I do not like this new song very much.
| |
I was kinda hyped for this but nah it sucks
| |
that chorus came back 2 times too many. damn really could've been a sick song.
| |
Chad sounds great. Nearly everything else about this is ass as fuck
| |
I liked the song. Sounds cool
| |
hope we get some more adventurous songwriting like the LD 50 days, but otherwise this was better than I expected. especially Chad, he sounds a lot like his old self again
| |
I doubt we’ll get anything close to LD 50, that would’ve happened with past records. They have the fire again but I’m sure it’s gonna align to at least Lost and Found
| |
Huh same guy who produced the new Deftones produced this.
Interesting
| |
"I doubt we’ll get anything close to LD 50, that would’ve happened with past records. They have the fire again but I’m sure it’s gonna align to at least Lost and Found"
yeah I don't expect it but I have a tiny bit of hope since it seems like they're all about reliving that era right now. they brought back the makeup and their recent live sets lean pretty heavily into it, plus they're doing a full-on tour for its anniversary next year.
| |
Looking forward to new music, but this one didn't do it for me at all. The lyrics are super "Hellyeah" vibe and I hope they largely leave that sound behind.
| |
"Huh same guy who produced the new Deftones produced this."
Oh yeah its Nick. An album is most likely incoming.
| |
Yeah they sound pretty hungry, doubt they would stop here. Can't wait for the record!
Song is tuff but yeah the chorus definitely repeats one too many times
| |
"Can anyone help me understand why LD 50 was being compared to Slipknot
at the time it released?"
Contemporaneous nu-metal bands that had a thing for make-up/masks.
| |
Song kind of sucks
| |
That's a pretty sick new song!
I recently listened to Mudvayne's classic "Determined" and man that song goes so hard. Now I gotta check their entire discography.
| |
The title is laughably awful and tone deaf. Sounds like a b-side they dusted off, bland, and reworked... moving on.
| |
I wanted to enjoy this, but, I did not.
| |
Mh mh mh so good n tasty
| |
Now imagine they announce L.D. 50 Part 2 i would do backflips til the day i die
| |
let's fucking goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
| |
Chorus is dumb. Song is pretty lifeless honestly, feels like two or three riff ideas just crammed together and called a song.
I hope they bring back some of the prog elements. And I certainly hope we don't get cheesy shit like World So Cold or Happy? I don't wanna hear buttrock Mudvayne
| |
Dammit, Chad Gray. Stop hurting people.
| |
UHHH it's kinda okay
the chorus sounds like Sweet Tooth by Otep
| |
It’s ok. Honestly just excited at the prospect of a new album, even though the last few have been pretty meh. Been awhile though so who knows. Could be great.
| |
there is zero chance we get anything close to ld50 or even the end
| |
Hurt people, hurt people
| |
Hurt pp hurt ppl
| |
more human than human
| |
This slaps like the early 2000s
| |
Don't know why they only did one adventurous album like LD50, and it's their first. Was one of my first Sputnik love affairs and remains so until this day
| |
lol i pointed out the more human thing earlier
it's such a a ripoff
| |
people who are hurt in turn disseminate said hurt...
and he's fuckin sufferin... so he's gonna hurt you...
damn..........
| |
dreadful.
| |
needs more bass riffs
| |
That was ass. 0/5
| |
Ehhh, dug the heaviness but not necessarily any return to form.
| |
Reminds me of People = Shit off of Iowa
| |
Not feeling it.
| |
https://youtu.be/XTJ21auXbv8?si=jS9KBgIvBXog4KRy
new song
would be okay if not for the shite chorus
| |
STILL having Ryan barely present. It’s a travesty
| |
For real? That's what makes Mudvayne. Lordy...
| |
new song even worse than the last lel
| |
agreed. my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
| |
Yeah the new song is even worse.
| |
they're going to shit the bed
| |
I think the song rips. Lyrics are a little weak but it sounds great and that driving riff is just as good.
| |
new track is objectively better than hurt people hurt people in terms of sound and mix and bass prominence and catchiness and remotely sounding like a mudvayne song of any previous era instead of a bogstandard knuckledragging d tier nu metal band filler track and you must be smoking absolute pure distilled crystal fucking weed laced with fiberglass to think otherwise
| |
The Oracle has judged
I AM HIGH
| |
Oh it's a dumb song, no doubt.
| |
Actually really dig the second single
| |
terrible song
| |
It’s grown on me a little, but I still don’t love it. Especially the cringe lyrics. As someone mentioned, it does slightly have the More Human than Human sound/formula.
They played Sticks and Stones when I saw them live, and of course it sounded better live. Still not great though, and also cringe lyrics.
Really hope the new album is at least Lost and Found caliber. I’d be happy with it, and pleasantly (unexpectedly) surprised.
