Oh yeah, this is very good. Like a continuation from Liminal Rite, which is awesome!

Love the vocalist's youtube channel but I've just never been able to get into this band. Will have to give this a shot though.

wanting this to be my AOTY, always loved these guys and now with the crisper production it can be a game changer
|
| |
damn, couldn't stand this lol. everything felt like it clashed with each other.
|
| |
another beautiful song damn, they are killing it lately
|
| |
also funny that Dean Lamb from Archspire is part of their filming crew
|
| |
Headless guitars will just never look cool.
|
| |
The almanac was the only decent thing these guys did, now they are wasting their talent with this overproduced sound.
|
| |
nah this sick as shit

"Headless guitars will just never look cool."
^this.
Song is good tho

Tbh I think if they'd lay off on making the drums so insanely clicky and bombastically loud it'd REALLY work to their favor.
Yeah idk it's hard to knock the very idea they're going for i.e bombastic prog metalcore with opera sensibilities but I do actually think they kind of left everything aside from the vocal department a little tepid here, almost gives it the energy of instrumentals the bolster a solo act rather than a real unit. The vox are too good for me to hate that but hopefully everything else at least has moments to shine on the album.
