It's sad this guy actually used to write great songs. Like ten years ago. Hoppus was the soul of blink-182 and it's pretty easy to see the difference between +44 and Angels (namely, +44 = good and AVA = godawful U2-for-idiots-with-even-bigger-egos).

OK, I listened to the two songs again. Same key, one or two of the same notes played, but I'm still pretty convinced they're two very different songs.

Yeah they're similar but I wouldn't go so far as to say they're identical.
