Sonohara self-titled album

American electronic/rock/whatever artist Sonohara has announced her new self-titled album coming out on December 27th, along with lead single "Elevator."

Statement, from Sonohara's Twitter/X account:

"Elevator" is out now! It's about my longtime struggles with gender dysphoria. I came out nearly a decade ago on April 12, 2015, but even before then it was hell feeling like I didn't belong...and not knowing where it was I didn't belong. And even after I came out, I knew where it was I didn't belong, but I couldn't get out (and I still have yet to be able to afford transition, sadly). This song chronicles all of my feelings about my predicament. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it helps you if you're in the same boat that I am. Love you all ❤️

I'm also proud to announce my fourth album, Sonohara! It's been a wild ride, especially with three years of writers block, but I've been blending all of my rock/punk/metal influences into what is the greatest album I have ever made by a longshot and I am so excited to share it with you on December 27th! Pre-orders will go up December 13th!!!

Track listing:
1. Sin (4:25)
2. Alleviator (4:55)
3. Control (4:09)
4. Monster (3:49)
5. Nothing But A Rage (4:05)
6. Kaori (5:17)
7. Fight Like Hell (feat. Haley Valentine) (4:26)

She's definitely got some compositional / instrumental talent but... that singing is really really rough.

It's kinda strange to have released this many albums and still be at that point vocally.
