Deryck Whibley comments: "When I wrote 'Landmines', I had no intention of writing an old-school 'pop punk' song. It just came out really quickly and I knew right away that this song felt special to me."

It's alright. Nice to see them put out a pop punk song for the first time in like 15 years.

Feels more on the 'safer' side, but the song was harmless. The concept of their new album is actually kind of exciting, so very curious to hear all the other stuff that comes from this. As long as there's enough versatility in the songwriting, I'm all for it. While they'll probably do some reunions throughout the coming years, it's wild to think that this will probably be their final studio album.

The drum fills are the only good part of this song.

Online. hard hits on the song hitting guitar big drum hits and slapping on the bass strings slap the strings Cone! To be on the web site... It is sad they could keep doing more CDS of great music for fans on here but they are will gonna stop rocking after this as a final CD online. They could keep going like why do that????? more cds from derrick and the boys i hope some day. they are good men, as good as under class hero CD and "ALL KILLER NO FILLER". do really really hope the new CD of sum 41 is lives up to the name of the all Killer no filler CD. but ya this right here it is a hard hitting song on here, it rocks HARD, yeah... need some guitar hero songs of every sum 41 song or a sum 41 game on play station video game to be as Derrick or maybe steve-o doing hard hitting music at shows to tap my feet to. punk and pop is not dead at all you just HAVE to listen to it to here it and take it in.. the hard hitting songs on punk some pop some hard metal, hitting heavy drums and hard hits on guitar riffs and slapping strings guitar and bass guitar, take derricks lyrics in and under stand them i relate to every sum 41 song on here they have did, what do you do? listen to sum 41

Hmm, not bad. The drums do sound good I agree.

Could have lived without the gang chanting shit and replaced those with guitar leads.

Also I swear I have that exact same leopard print shirt Deryck's wearing in the beginning lol

Being in your 40s and writing lyrics like this is weird. On another note Deryk aged quite well tbh

This is so resfrshing to hear from them, and what Underclass Hero should have been. I'm sure we will get some more heavy, metal licks from the boys, but this is fun.

Blatant ripoff of Mr Brightside with the melody in the verses. Also the bridge steals a little bit of Misery Business as well.

Fun song though

To repeat for the 96000th time, they said they were breaking up after one final double-album and a tour to support it so they'll end in 2024.

As far as I understand, the Hell part will sound like DTLI, Chuck and their last album. Hopefully it will be as good as their earlier stuff.

Everything about that was a safe slice of pop punk that I’ll probably never listen to again but it’s nice to see them well and enjoying what they do because
