RIP Teresa Nervosa 2023-06-19 by Cyan isn't a shade of blue. | 7 Comments | Teresa Taylor, known best by her stage name Teresa Nervosa, was announced dead today at the age of 60. The cause of her death was lung disease.
She was best known as one of two drummers for the Texas noise rock band Butthole Surfers. She first joined during the sessions for Psychic... Powerless... Another Man's Sac in 1983 and was a member until 1989. Teresa and their other drummer, King Koffey, would often drum together on the same recordings, giving Butthole Surfers distinctive percussion.
She also had a small role in Richard Linklater's 1990 film Slacker.
