The Sleeping wake up 2023-05-26 by Jadari | 9 Comments | Long Island, NY post-hardcore band The Sleeping have awoken from their 13-year slumber. In March the band announced they would be crowdfunding their new LP, titled 'I Feel Like I'm Becoming a Ghost', which features the original lineup.
The kickstarter campaign ended last week and raised $38,337 in total pledged by 715 people, but had already reached its goal by the end of March. Backers got an early taste of the album with an exclusive track titled 'OCD' sent out to them. Now the band have released the first public single 'The Animal'.
I Feel Like I'm Becoming a Ghost is set to release on July 28th. Listen to 'The Animal' below.

Can't say I was too happy about the song either. Release date seems to have been pushed back, their instagram states August 18th now. I wonder if it has to do with the response so far, which hasn't been good from what I've read.
