And they were just saying he was responding well to the treatment...things sounded hopeful. Fuck.
| |
way too soon. his drumming on MM's earlier work especially has so much fucking feel. it's the essential glue holding most of their wandering arrangements together. RIP
| |
awful awful news : ( hard rip
| |
Another really bad piece of news
| |
awful news, rip

How does one do a news article? Surprised we haven't seen something about Terry Hall passing away

"Sputnik seriously. Let people tell the truth.
Stage 4 cancer at 45 years old = shot immune system"

RIP
| |
RIP the hardest, will be playing your drum parts today until my hands bleed
| |
@kevin this is not the fucking time, kindly see yourself the fuck out of here
| |
modest mouse was the band that got me into indie rock as a whole past the obvious mainstream names like the killers, and his drumming was such an important part of that. to lose him and mimi parker in such a short time from each other just feels cruel. RIP king
| |
God, this hurts. One of my favorite bands of all time. This all feels so sudden.
RIP
| |
RIP. Absolutely an unsung hero behind the kit.
Fuck cancer
| |
damn that fucking sucks, he was an awesome drummer, truly one of a kind, he could really get into a groove and drive entire songs, especially in the bands earlier work and he seemed like a nice quiet soft spoken dude in interviews.
| |
Well this was a shit way to start 2023. Hard rip. Gonna have to binge MM’s discog, feel like I’d appreciate the band way more now
| |
"damn that fucking sucks, he was an awesome drummer, truly one of a kind, he could really get into a groove and drive entire songs, especially in the bands earlier work and he seemed like a nice quiet soft spoken dude in interviews."
The drumming and bass play of MM were always such an incredible foundation and sometimes the most memorable parts of whole damn songs.
| |
RIP
| |
This really sucks. RIP
| |
Rest In Peace.
| |
Ah man I saw a post on MM Facebook in the last few days saying he was responding well to treatment, sad news
As many others have said, he did an incredible job gluing together the wandering tunes
RIP
| |
Damn, that's some fucked news for the new years already.
| |
Oh hell no
RIP. What a talent gone.
| |
RIP
He was a phenomenal drummer and so important to the feel of all their songs, pretty much what ashcrash said.
| |
god dammit
| |
fuck cancer times infinity
| |
One of the most important musicians in my life. Hard RIP

Two of my favorite bands ever lost musicians this year. This sucks man :')
RIP to one of the greatest indie rock drummers.
I'm gonna go lie down now or something geeze.

Sad news, will spin Good News for People Who Love Bad News today. RIP
| |
not to be that guy, but Good News is their one record he didn't play on
| |
live he gave those songs from GNFPWLBN his own flavor which was interesting
| |
Damn RIP
| |
RIP to the man! Have never really actually sat down with an album from these guys but I dig the track posted here a lot. Seems like a talented drummer for sure. Will jam the album this track came from in his honor
| |
Fuck cancer. I just learned about this and this sucks. Modest Mouse is one of my favorite bands and Jeremiah has always been a big part of their identity. RIP
| |
I had no idea these guys went as far back as the mid 90's. For some reason I was under the impression they were a new band when I was in like 7th grade lol
| |
terrible news. hard RIP. Modest Mouse is and will always be so important to me.
| |
This one hurts. Dude had been the backbone of MM for their entire existence. His drumming was so unique. I remember watching some of his earlier interviews in Pitchfork's documentary and he always came off as this very gentle and reserved sort of person. RIP.
| |
RIP
| |
Truly a legend RIP
| |
The opening of Trucker's Atlas alone makes him a legend
| |
