I'll listen to a "cancelled" band and not give a shit but I tend to draw the line at merch for bands like that. It sucks in this scenario because Vektor is the type of band I would absolutely be getting merch from especially since I know their new drummer but since it's up in the air idk.

Nobody has a solid way of verifying truth from either party but Vektor has managed to book locally in Arizona and a whole European tour so they might be able to continue regardless. Either way I'm gonna hold my breath until I see them with some notable U.S. acts.

These threads CAN be dumpster fires, but this has been discussed ad-naseum in the Terminal Redux review thread. Even with DiSanto recounting his side of the story, people are still thinking.. yeah right pillow man.

Bandmates dipping out how they did is sus for sure, but as a lad who's been abused by a girlfriend in the past, I feel where he's coming from sure. It sucks being a man suffering from abuse at the hands of a woman in this world. Every moment you're in it, walking on eggshells and trying to be perfect out of fear, as you find yourself asking how it could all be painted to make you look like the perpetrator of the issue in the eyes of the world, and many abusive women know this and weaponize it too. If the guy is a POS, so be it. If he is in fact a victim of domestic abuse and ended up being a little fucked up from it, my heart goes out to him. I got out of my situation rather unscathed spiritually thanks to a good support network and a predisposition to emotional awareness, but not everyone gets those gifts. I hope whatever road to healing he needs, he finds - and us as the general public would be wise to reserve our judgements of a situation that isn't any of our business. People are complicated and so are their relationships. If you're empathetic, move along and don't fan the flames here. We don't know the whole picture and speculation is useless at best and unfairly damning at worst.

I mean, I'm now polyamorous and have two amazing partners that make my world the most amazing place to be. Is that privilage? I'd wager no, because I built my life from the ground up after being somewhere very dark. I'm both unburdened and truly fulfilled at this point in my life so I get where you're coming from though. I'm not losing sleep over this lad's plight - I got enough on my hands and don't know the shape of this man's character in any way. I have a good life now, and all I had to do was take full responsibility for my own life and happiness instead of hitching those hopes onto the wagons of others.
