New Ill Nino song/video 2022-05-09 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 9 Comments | The newest incarnation of Ill Nino have released a new single from their upcoming album IllMortals, due out 10 June.
The song is the first to feature guitarist Marc Rizzo after the founding guitarist re-joined the band in late 2021, amidst a bitter split from his previous band Soulfly. His return is marked by a return to the prominent flamenco guitar playing that had slipped out of the band's music in recent years. Listen to the song below.
In the meantime, the 3 members who split from Ill Nino in 2019 (Christian Machado, Diego Verduzco and Ahrue Luster) have continued releasing music from their new project Lions at the Gate, with their latest being "Find My Way" featuring Jinjer vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk:

I wasn't aware some of the band had split, but reading into it sounds like I don't want to be supporting Ill Nino anymore... Both songs are boring as fuck, but I think the second one is slightly better

I really liked that Ill Nino song. I said it in the comment section of the video already, but it sounds like the most Ill Nino sounding Ill Nino song in at least 17 years. It really brings me back to high school. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. Those first 4 records are excellent. I don't dislike what followed after, but those first 4 really take me back.
