so glad they're back omg
great song
| |
whoa this is the best they've sounded since act iv
| |
they've done it again, the EP gave me doubts but this is awesome
| |
wow this song is AWESOME
| |
I'm not mad but holy shit this band confuses me lol, weren't they talking up the final Act or some big movie or something?
| |
Saw them the other night and they played a couple of new songs - wasn't sure how either would vibe in studio, but one was about as disco as I've ever heard them go. Curious to hear this
| |
iirc the final act has a script for its story but there were no formal plans to make music for it at this time
| |
Very confused but this is a fantastic song so all is well
| |
Act VI is gonna be the Half-Life 3 of music
| |
Act VI is going to be the Time II of music
| |
Hey now there's legit HL3 hope these days dangit
| |
Fuck this is a great tune. The boys are back.
| |
Definitely like it more than indigo child but still not more than act 2 or 3, will still check though
| |
Song is groovy as hell, I am excited! This bad boy is dropping on my birthday
| |
That this is better than IC was. This is basically neofunk with a concept. Absolute blast.
| |
The two "The Indigo Child" songs weren't really my cup of tea, but this is absolutely amazing. Very excited for the album.
| |
I really didn't think it was that great...
| |
loved this, stoked for the album
| |
"they've done it again, the EP gave me doubts but this is awesome"
forever boggles my mind when a band releases something that is clearly not supposed to be measured through the same lens as an actual release. Indigo Child was essentially a single (and a good single at that) with the rest of the ambient tracks used for the film as part of the release. i wouldn't call that an EP
unless you are talking about All is As All Should Be then ignore me
| |
"The Indigo Child" basically was the soundtrack to their shortfilm or series or whatever that was. Not "really" a EP.
| |
beliieeeve you meeeee
| |
A little too pop for me, oh well
| |
This is ok but loses all the charm of their older material, if this was the first song I heard by this band I wouldnt be eager to listen to more
| |
Nice to see them back
| |
What a great song. Really excited for the entire thing.
About act VI, they released a video a couple of years back that it wasn't meant to be I believe. It was never gonna be in album form anyway, more like a screenplay or something, but I do believe they stated that it wasn't gonna happen.
| |
I will never understand how casey could release Act 1-5 and then just decide to scrap the final season ... then again, in retrospect I wish a lot of my favorite TV shows had done just this instead of ruin it all so maybe casey is a genius.
This single is great.
| |
Seeing them next Wednesday and apparently they're playing Ring 5 and Ring 7. I'm most curious about Ring 5 being nearly 9 minutes long. Single sounds pretty good though! I'm pumped.
| |
Super excited for this!
| |
I remember getting the empty vinyl sleeve for Act VI and being confused, there was cover art and everything. Looks like it'll be sitting empty forever.
Song is cool and funky with that bass solo.
| |
This is a bit random but this kinda reminds me of Coheed's "Number City" and I think that's a good thing.
| |
wasn't over the moon for this but it was fine, and he doesn't ever make bad albums so album overall will surely be good
| |
you guys forget that the length between act 3 and 4 was 6 years with color spectrum and migrant in-between. dont count act 6 out yet lol
| |
figure I definitely thought of number city first thing too and that's my favorite on that album
| |
Awesome! Glad that made sense to someone. Now I'm going to listen to both songs!
| |
Boring. Can we bring back treos already
| |
Another new song, don't like this one at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubyy7MS-Chg
| |
Sounds like Hamilton lol. I dig it, the finale is pretty hilarious though, this album is taking some wild risks
| |
It's a pretty ambitious song. Like a "Night on the Town" but with a somehow more broadway feel. The lyrics aren't as touching as the acts sadly.
| |
I hate those ending female vocals buh god
| |
I dig both songs that are out so far I like ring 7 more than 3 but still
