Damnit. They went even poppier. I had high hopes for this cd, this band has so much potential if they'd just try to write some technical/complicated music.

I didn't know their album was coming out so soon. Good track, really liked the chorus. It'll be interesting to see the overall sound of the new album. This one sounds a little different.

| |
I enjoy the new song as much as their older stuff, as long as they dont pull a still remains and radically change their sound i'll be happy.

I don't see how you get "even poppier". Yeah, The Triptych wasn't really technical but the guitar parts are fairly so.
the new song is pretty sweet. I added it to my Myspace

Me too.

Still an awesome band, can't wait for this.
|

My guess is this song is following in the tradition of "Heartstrings" and "1000 Apologies" and the rest of the record will be much heavier. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the song, but my expectations are still pretty high for this record.

Demon Hunter are pretty reliable when it comes to making quality music, so I have faith with this and the new soilwork.

Really? You thought it was slow? Hmm. They have said that the new album will have songs much heavier than anything they've ever done. I hate having to wait two months.

This is like Deteriorate or whatever that one was called from Triptych. I think it'll just be a single and the rest will be better.
|
| |
It does remind me a lot of 1,000 Apologies. I hope their new album is heavier, though I thought Triptych did a good job of balancing the two.
|
| |
I quite enjoyed that.
Never heard any of their previous stuff.
|
| |
@Kir: Based on what you listen to, I'm sure you'll like at least one of their albums.
Demon Hunter = Metalcore-ish
Summer Of Darkness = Black-ish metal
Triptych = Slightly more radio-friendly metal
If that makes any sense at all. You should just read Cravinov's reviews and find out which one you'd like the most.
|
| |
The Triptych is by far their best album, although Summer of Darkness is pretty good too.
|
| |
These guys suck at their instruments. Geez.
|
| |
Alot of bands do. Thesy guys pwn every other christian bands except for antestor( norwegian black)
|
| |
I'll have to say Becoming the archetype completely crushes them in the christian music department.
|
| |
Forgot about them, Demon Hunter are a more fun listen obviously, but Extol and Antestor rock just as hard as Becoming The Archetype.
|
| |
..I definatly find Becoming The Archetype much more fun to listen to. And instrumentally, they own Extol and Antestor. Alex can actually sweep pick and compose some nice sounding solos. Plus the piano arrangements and such are pretty nice.
|
| |
If you're talking Christian metal bands good at playing their instruments, don't leave out Living Sacrifice (!)
|
| |
unfortunately christian metal and good is an oxymoron
|
| |
True, most christian bands suck, well most troo satanic bands are just as bad. Watain anyone?
|
| |
Not as good as their previous work, but still good.
|
| |
wasn't as good as their older stuff, but i still found it catchy and was able to enjoy it.
|
| |
Awesome song
|
| |
Thanks Otis, I'll look into some of their stuff.
|
| |
Altmer, I agree with you.
