Forgotten Korn song streaming

2022-01-13 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 12 Comments
Korn have released the next single from their upcoming album Requiem, out 4 February 2022 via Lorna Vista Recordings.
In the build up to the release, they had been releasing isolated instruments from part of the song across various social media websites, which fans had been piecing together to discover the chorus. The full single was released for streaming on all platforms at midnight EST on 13 January.

Title made this sound like some long lost song that never saw the light of day

"Pretty interesting riff for Korn. Seems like they really went out of their comfort zone on this album"

Yeah it's an odd timed one. I wouldn't be surprised if long time producers the matrix had a little something to do with that riff

Well Lauren Christy has more or less become full time songwriter for the band, she's had a songwriting credit on the past couple of albums and JD's solo album. Don't think the other two people from The Matrix have been involved since they and the band fell out after SYOTOS though.

I read that JD took a different approach and rehearsed his vocals with the band instead of just doing the vocals after the instruments were recorded. Gotta say the mix during the chorus is really odd. Not sure if it's the analog tape or what but it'll have to grow on me, especially being the album opener
