REOL has new hair / EP 2021-12-19 by fluid in its most purist form. always drenched in an undeniable regal divinity. | 9 Comments | Japanese electro-pop sensation and vocaloid inspiration REOL has released her second minialbum (read: EP) The Sixth Sense, available as of Dec. 15th.
The release is reasonably solid and very much welcome, but it comes as a disorienting reminder of the apparent retirement of her once-iconic white-dyed bob, visible at various lengths across the majority of her discography.
The EP's artwork, displaying a pinker sheen and dark-dipped ends, seems to coincide with the title-track, originally rolled out last July; since that time, her colour palette has shifted on a practically monthly basis, culminating in a dark-streaked red look visible in the most recent video for "Boy".
Along with The Sixth Sense's somewhat piecemeal blend of styles (symptomatic of its singles-compilation approach), this suggests that REOL is in search of a new edge. Perhaps she will find it soon. That is all.

ye ye Kinjitou was huge and i will be ultrahyped if she matches it again in the mid-future. this ain't on the level, but it's good and fun and worth it probably !
