New Destruction LP, April 2022

2021-12-16 by Fernando Alves STAFF | 7 Comments
Iconic German thrashers Destruction will be releasing their fifteenth album, called Diabolical, on April 16th 2022, through Napalm Records. Watch the official video for the title track below.

Singer/bassist Schmier about the video: "I love the title track of the new record, it represents the album, pure old school and in your face Thrash Metal! We wanted a video that shows our trademarks, so the MAD BUTCHER had to be there! It is only his second appearance in a Destruction video ever but his most remarkable one so far for sure!"

Tracklist:
1 Under The Spell
2 Diabolical
3 No Faith In Humanity
4 Repent Your Sins
5 Hope Dies Last
6 The Last Of A Dying Breed
7 State Of Apathy
8 Tormented Soul
9 Servant Of The Beast
10 The Lonely Wolf
11 Ghost From The Past
12 Whorefication

Diabolical will be available in various formats in different territories, including a digital album and CD (bundled with a t-shirt + an exclusive "Mad Butcher"-bust), 1LP gatefold editions in black, crystal clear, marbled yellow/red and silver.

Hey, this is actually pretty decent! Wasn't expecting much after their lackluster release in 2019, but I actually had a really good time listening to this track. Fingers cross the new LP is good too.

I'll always appreciate them sticking to their guns but they've been on the downward slope for at least a decade and they're not gonna get any younger.

I haven't jammed anything of theirs since Inventor of Evil if I recall correctly and I don't remember much about it. This was solid. I think I'd dig it way more if the vocals were dialed way back in the mix tbh. Not to say the vocals are bad either I think they're just so upfront it takes away from the riffing
