Tony Iommi Launches New Fragrance

2021-11-27 by Fernando Alves | 20 Comments
Mythic guitarist Tony Iommi has released his first music since Black Sabbath's 13 and a classical piece written for Birmingham Cathedral in 2017. The song titled 'Scent Of Dark' is accompanied by a new perfume of the same name that results from a collaboration with renowned perfumer Sergio Momo, who also features on the track. The song can be streamed below.

Iommi comments: "I've had the riff for quite a while and I'd never done anything with it, but it gave us a base to start from. We built up the track with programmed drums at first and then Mike Exeter demoed bass and keyboards on it, and I added my guitar solos, just to give us an idea of how it was going to sound. Then we added the strings. I'd worked with string sections on SABBATH albums before, but this was a whole new experience."

Bet it feels like old leather and feet.

I'd still wear it though.

I guess in this day and age nothing should surprise me about the way people drag their name through the mud for a few extra bucks, but come on have some self respect

to be fair he's not dragging his name through the mud as much as he is dragging it through cinnamon, rose petals and patchouli, with hints of sandalwood, ambergris, vanilla, Tonka bean, caramel and musk
