Celeste To Release Assassine(s)

2021-11-18 by Fernando Alves | 16 Comments
French avantgarde black metallers Celeste will release their new album, titled Assassine(s), on January 28th, 2022 via Nuclear Blast. The music video for the first single, 'Des Torrents De Coups', can be seen below.

Directed by Grégoire Orio

"We're glad to unleash our first single", Celeste states. "This track is the first one we've started writing for the new album, but it's also one of the last we've finished. It's pretty representative of the reflexion we had all along the creation process of 'ASSASSINE(S)', I hope you'll enjoy the new sonorities and our new approach of the songwriting. This epic song is coming with the videoclip it deserves, 'Des Torrents de coups' is the first part of a video triptych to be released in the coming months, produced in collaboration with video artist Gregoire Orio. Those videoclips totally emphasize our well know imagery."

Assassine(s) was produced Chris Edrich.

Tracklist
1. Des torrents de coups
2. De tes yeux bleus perlés
3. Nonchalantes de beauté
4. Draguée tout au fond
5. Il a tant rêvé d’elles
6. Elle se répète froidement
7. Le cœur noir charbon

really fucking good song

"avantgarde black metal" isn't exactly the term i'd use to describe their music though, they're a sludge band through and through

really solid band, nice to see the longish break since their last release hasn't changed anything about their quality
