Adam Dutkiewicz comments: " This song almost didn’t make the record because of its positive spin being so drastically different than the rest of the album, and it being one of the most "Killswitch sounding" songs. But 'Rescue' can have several different meanings, like an attempt to rescue a broken relationship, which does fit right in with the concept of the rest of the record. Hope you like it! "
