news fucking sucks. in a scene full of pieces of shit, creepy dudes and creepy dude defenders Mark has always been down-to-earth, funny and open to his fans. his darker lyrics back in 2003 helped push pop-punk in a more interesting direction just as much as Tom experimenting with the music. dude was in the biggest band of their sphere at the time and he used his platform to write about depression, anxiety and miscommunication in a way that was honestly groundbreaking to Young Rowan and millions of others. I'm gonna believe he'll pull through this, but even the experience of surviving cancer is indescribably miserable to go through and incomprehensible for the rest of us who are lucky enough to never do it. dude deserves all our sympathies and good vibes and our willingness to respect his privacy at this time.

I just learned what chemotherapy actually is. I always thought chemo was just the x-ray therapy, apparently it includes drugs that slow the replication of fast-growing type cells, which is why it fucks up a few parts of your body.
