It does indeed, due to extremely rare traits nowadays for underground outfits:

They are instrumentally efficient, and they can produce a professional, distinct sound.

That said, I was impressed on first listen, but with subsequent ones I reached a pleasure plateau, due to somewhat restrained song writing (borderline adult oriented, and that's strictly for their rank); indeed, their immediately previous album is even more off the beaten track, and I wonder how the older ones sound.
