when a band puts 3 singles at the beginning of the album u know it's gonna be bad

I liked this maybe the most of the 4. The cleans here are great. And I really like the groove

Song fuckin slaps, although I would say it enters deeper "mainstream" territory with the song structure and melodic chorus

I like it but it feels like somethings missing. Gojira songs don't really feel massive and crushing like they did on From Mars/Way of All Flesh anymore.

Yeah, these don't have the energy their older albums have. This is the weakest of the 4 singles for me. Born for One Thing was great, Amazonia was good, Another World was alright, and this is mediocre.

The vocals and drums have been amazing on these new songs but that's about it. The riffs and songwriting are so boring and the production isn't great either.

This is like a throwback song but still much better than the previous 3 singles imo

The fact that since they've decided to be more mainstream and make simpler songs they've become slightly dull somewhat shows (in my opinion) how truly they were a progressive metal band back in the time of From Mars to Sirius and The Way of All Flesh.

Progression was an important aspect of their music and now that they make simpler songs, it feels a bit stale, like something is missing to keep the listener interested. For me it's started with Shooting Star.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty worried about this album. At least the minimalism and simpler arrangements had a purpose on Magma, in which the primary focus was the Duplantier brothers grieving over their mom's death with emotionally charged riffs and grooves. But here, the music just sounds lazy and complacent

If I were a big fan of this band back when their more iconic stuff was out, I'd probably be bummed by this too. But because I have 0 expectations going into this album I think this track is safe but hella fun and catchy
