Oh hell yeah
Beautiful track

Did not expect something this lovely sounding. Stoked. Also, I love Angela Seo.
| |
Strong Bowie vibes from Jamie on this one
| |
"Greg Saunier, members of Deerhoof"
does this mean Greg Saunier *and* other members of Deerhoof? awesome lineup, will check this - need to play catchup on the band though
| |
does anyone else pronounce these guys 'choo choo'
| |
do i dare check this band
| |
they sound like a mix of your 5s and 1s
| |
fuck me
| |
Their last album was horrible and they are VERY hit or miss for me, however I do sometimes end up returning to Air Force / Knife Play occasionally.

I took the collaborators list from another site, as I did not have any press kit available to check. Will leave only Greg Saunier listed.

Angela is such a babe
| |
this sounds like new order
i like
| |
Heads up y'all this might be the best Xiu record to date and is early aoty contender get your hype on
| |
I know it leaked but my preorder will be here soon anyway so I can wait, hype hype hype.
| |
Really fucking sounds like a return to the early Xiu beauty beneath noise, but even more expansive. Like, I'm blown the fuck away. Can't wait to hear the LP spinnin'

What’s your current fave?
| |
Oh God this band has so many 4.5's, uh, probably Knife Play or The Air Force, but idk Jamie does good so often
| |
I'm a Promise man myself but Forget is up there too. La Foret as well.

fuck yeah, can't come soon enough
| |
La Foret is so underrated, Rose of Sharon is top 5 prob, vocal climax is wrenching
| |
I only asked because these guys go from the sublime to the grating, often within the same album. I should probably re-check a couple.
| |
If you prefer them to keep some approachable melody under the noiz, feel like you'd probably dig this one a lot, Demon
Forget too, if you haven't heard that one. Tuna's right, it's superb, even dance-y at points
| |
But they don't have anything I'm even a little chilly on, so grain-of-salt me to taste
| |
Rose of Sharon is easily my favourite, some of Jamie's best vocal work and that's saying a lot
| |
Ah right, well I do actually like Knife Play / The Air Force on the whole. I might see if anything’s changed for the better.
| |
I'm so excited to hear people's take on The Grifters on the new one. His duet with (blanking on her name), the woman behind Circuit des Yeux, top tier. Most another vocalist has ever been able to match the ripping over-the-top dramatics of Jamie's performance in kind and it works so well
| |
I still can't believe Chelsea is on the album covering my all time favourite Cure song
| |
Waiting till Friday for FLAC but I'm extremely stoked for this
| |
Anyone else dig the fuck out of Rumpus Room?
