Florida's metallers Six Feet Under dropped their first single 'Amputator' from their upcoming album Nightmares Of The Decomposed, out October 2nd via Metal Blade Records.

Stream 'Amputator' lyric video below.

Chris Barnes comments: "Working again after 25 years writing an album with my old band mate from Cannibal Corpse, Jack Owen, was like coming home...To a room full of dead bodies. Jack's writing and riff work on this album gave me the fuel to write some disturbing lyrics and really set my creative mind on fire."

Nightmares Of The Decomposed tracklist:

1. Amputator
2. Zodiac
3. The Rotting
4. Death Will Follow
5. Migraine
6. The Noose
7. Blood of the Zombie
8. Self Imposed Death Sentence
9. Dead Girls Don't Scream
10. Drink Blood Get High
11. Labyrinth of Insanity
12. Without Your Life

Band seriously needs to hang it up. There was a small glimmer of hope with Undead thanks to Rob Arnold, but the band has been awful ever since.

tfw you bought Death Rituals in 2008 trying to casually get into death metal and then promptly did not get into death metal for 5 more years.

for the millionth time, if they produced it to actually sound like filthy osdm his vox could work. but nothing can fix his crappy lyrics that don't even fit the rhythm. Also that pig squeal was the worst I've ever heard.

Seeing as this is on Metal Blade, shouldn’t there be some sort of quality control going on? Like, for example anyone with a vague sense of rhythm and/or meter would notice that these lyrics and their delivery is completely fucked and amateurish...

It's like an Adult Swim sketch.
"We really took it back to our roots and went for a super lush sound. We wanted to take the band to new heights and focus on the musicianship. We think the fans are going to be super impressed. It's about crafting great music at the end of the day."
