Oomori Seiko meets Wayne Coyne

2020-07-29 by fluid in its most purist form. always drenched in an undeniable regal divinity. | 9 Comments
Acclaimed j-pop artist Oomori Seiko has released the music video for the first single for her upcoming album Kintsugi. The video, for the track "Singer Songwriter", sees her performing the track from the inside of a giant plastic bubble, in a fashion similar to that of the Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne.

"Singer Songwriter" is one of the most straightforwardly 'pop' tracks of Seiko's singles, evoking the style of her albums Tokyo Black Hole and kitixxxgaia and taking a step back from the glam metal hyperdrive of her most recent album Kusokawa Party. Kintsugi currently has no official release date, but has been teased for December.

Wayne Coyne has no involvement in this project. He has never met Oomori Seiko. Probably.

Sounds like a pop ballad similar to something from Sennou for me. I dig it.
