why does god make us suffer so
| |
no one wants this.
| |
I remember when I loved Devildriver. They have some cool stuff, but I can't imagine their fanbase will increase with this release lol
| |
Simon Blade Fafara
| |
TFoOMH and TLKW were both great stuff, but I can't see myself sitting through a double album by these guys lol
I remember seeing them live years ago and they put on one heck of a show tho
| |
Yeah I dig the hell out of Fury through Pray and they're awesome live so I'll definitely check this. They've certainly been on the decline though.
| |
meh
| |
not sure when these guys flipped from being one of the better modern mainstream metal bands to FFDP level cheese but I am sad to see it
| |
dude really made a song called "You Give Me a Reason to Drink" featuring HIS OWN SON this is messed up
| |
Fury and Last Kind are still fun as hell albums, idec.
| |
I actually saw them live when they were new supporting...Trivium...and In Flames headlining? Idk, it was years ago. Anyway, at one point in the set Dez made a short speech that was like "thank you for supporting real metal, not emo or any of those sissy bands", something along those lines. And I was like "isn't this the Coal Chamber guy? Ok"
| |
drummer was good though
| |
I've found this alright. Never been a big fan of this band, but I'll give this a chance.
| |
They have some cool shit, kick ass live for sure. Definitely never saw a double album in their cards tho lol
| |
this seems very unnecessary, but then again I said the same thing about soilwork and heaven shall burn
| |
Double album haha
| |
"keep away from me" i'm glad devildriver are encouraging social distancing in these troubled times
| |
Not going to lie, if you actually listened to their first few records (and I mean actually listened), you would find some enjoyable stuff.
| |
First 3-4 LP's had some really decent bops. Not going to lie I can't remember anything off Winter Kills onwards though.
| |
ITT: They used to be ok but they suck now
| |
Some bands have no business releasing double albums and DevilDriver is one of them
| |
It's those harmonics that I miss from their sound the most. The first 2 records were littered with them. It's what drew me to them in the first place.
| |
Winter Kills was the last album Devildriver released that I enjoyed and after listening to this song, that isn't likely to change when this new album drops.
| |
It's a shame they declined the way they did because even though it's stock groove metal the grooves were great when they were at their peak and Dez definitely has a distinctive tone to his vox that went together well with the mosh-riffing
| |
Double albums are the worst. Pick your best ten songs and then release the other ten as a b-side a year later like Carly Rae Jepsen does.
| |
Soilwork did a double LP and it's perhaps their best album
| |
Mellon Collie, Zen Arcade, The Wall, White Album ... plenty of good ones
Lots and lots of terrible double albums. Harder to do well than a regular album.
