Static-X release 2nd single

2020-05-15 by TheGreatQ | 9 Comments
Industrial nu-metal band Static-X have released the 2nd single from their upcoming 7th album, Project: Regeneration Vol.1. The album is based on, and when possible uses the original recordings of, deceased founding member Wayne Static's unreleased songs. The album is in a finalized state, but due to the Coronavirus epidemic shutting down necessary manufacturing the release date is pushed back from May 29th to July 10th/August 14th (streaming/CD release and vinyl release, respectively). You can stream "All These Years" on all major platforms, or watch the music video linked below.

Sucks it was delayed again but COVID-19 is messing with a lot of bands that aren't on the major labels. Unless you're someone with the resources of Charli XCX you aren't getting an album released yet unless you've already got the CDs made and ready to ship.

The first song was a pretty good jam. This one is even better

These new songs are surprisingly good. I was hesitant when I first heard of this revival, but now I'm looking forward to the album.

I still would like to know the tracklist. Also confused about whether the first single is called "Hollow" or "Hollow (Project Regeneration)"

Clicked this fully expecting to not get much out of it but this track is pretty nice. I'll give this album a shot. RIP Wayne. I really enjoyed some of their earlier albums a lot and remember liking Cannibal quite a bit when it dropped too. Never got around to Cult of Static though

Cult of Static is pretty terrible, you didn't miss anything

Cult of Static is pretty much Cannibal but slowed down, worse production, and generally blander. Definitely their weakest album.

These new songs though sound like they’re coming from Machine/Shadow Zone era, so I’m extremely hyped.

Some of them come from Start a War sessions too, or at least Hollow did
