Kraftwerk's co-founder Florian Schneider died last week at the age of 73. The German musician suffered from cancer, revealed Ralf Hütter, with whom Florian founded Kraftwerk in 1970.

Label Sony Berlin confirmed Florian Schneider was buried in a private ceremony.

Kraftwerk was undoubtedly one of the most influential electronic bands of all time, with renowned works such as Autobahn, Radio-Activity, Trans-Europe Express or The Man-Machine.

although I know very little about him, aside from his stage presence and that one brazilian interview, he always seemed like an interesting person. The perfect emobdiment of Kraftwerk's aesthetic.

This is a very sad month. After the death of Dave Greenfield, the keyboardist of The Stranglers on May 3th, we have also the death of one of the founders of Kraftwerk, Florian Schneider. This is really very sad. I'm completely devastated. As if Covid-19 wasn't enough.

R.I.P. hard Florian. We never forget you, pal.

O ye of little faith.
As if some label isn't gonna do a full discography release at some point to cash in.
Hermits (like me) eat that stuff up, sold out day one.

Oh (I don't follow RSD close enough obviously)
My point still stands, I've waited years for a CD release of 1 and 2, I can wait 50 more.

Hard rip

Saying that Kraftwerk is one of the most influential bands ever is still not enough to describe them
