Was supposed to see him with King Crimson last June, he dropped out of the band a few months before the concert without much explanation, which seems to make sense now. RIP.

Talk about a truly versatile musician. Thanks for all that wonderful music, sir. Salute.

RIP, he played an integral part in the late '80s - early '90s industrial wave and beyond.

Wow, that discog. TIL he played drums on La Mer from The Fragile. Always loved the drums on that; used to practice to it all the time

Bill got a massive fucking double whammy - was battling this for nine years, then loses his wife in August followed by this? Just awful.

Another great artist left us at a very early age. Again I'm deeply shocked with this notice. As a great fan of R.E.M. and especially of King Crimson, I deeply regret that. We'll never forget you and your huge contributions to music in general. R.I.P. my friend.
