Heaven Shall Burn go to Wakaliwood

2020-03-07 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 46 Comments
Heaven Shall Burn have collaborated with cult production company Wakaliwood, known for their ultra-low budget movies in the slums of Uganda, to release a new music video for "Eradicate" directed by Wakaliwood founder Nabwana IGG. In keeping with Nabwana's trademark filmmaking style, the music video is full of "Video Joker" commentary from VJ Emmie, who has done so for numerous Ugandan movies.

Heaven Shall Burn's new album Of Truth and Sacrifice is due for release on 20 March.

massive respect to HSB for this collab

For those unfamiliar with this studio, you can see one of their better films here: https://youtu.be/KEoGrbKAyKE

It has more humor and enthusiasm than like, any recent Fast & Furious film. It's improbably low budget, but was done with maximum effort. You won't regret it. (Unless you're KevinKC, but idk what the fuck his problem his)

Ah ah ah, I was actually considering watching the movie while reading your comment.
My problem is that the video is women killing men for 5 minutes and don't tell me it's a meaningless coincidence. It's a morbid trend.

it's a welcome trend tbh

How is that a welcome trend ? Because movies have been about men killing women for too long ?

Mmm... I don't know what to tell you, if you don't realize there's a strong misandrist trend in our cultures well, you just do not realize it. It's a uganda movie but it's a german band whose last video was also extremely "progressive" oriented (wildlife in the oceans). So,once you've checked ecology, there's feminism, next video will be about fighting racism ? Fourth video about sexual orientations and the list is complete. Ah no, as this video is at the same time 2 and 3.

Just make the opposite video, a group of guys killing a swarm of female villains and taking a superb iconic pose like they've purge humanity of its disease, people will immediately spot the morbidity of it.

But I actually enjoyed the effort and the enthusiasm of the studio which is why I was considering checking the link given by malcontent.

And, oh surprise, the original movie "who killed captain Alex" isn't quite as female empowering (and that's a euphemism).
I wonder what provoked the ideological shift from the movie to the video clip. Maybe the director/screenwriter suddenly became extremely woke for no reason. "I think I should shift from traditional male soldiers who kick ass to having a short fat "ugly" women beating the crap out of everybody, that'll look cool, that's exactly what I feel like doing right now, for this German band."

A lot of people unfamiliar with how Nbwana makes movies. The Video Joker is a big part of it, and HSB wanted their video to be just like a Nbwana movie.

Since when did people became such asslickers for the status quo? like "Booohooooo whamen issues are getting more prominence, these musician is helping them get more exposure by providing them with a small piece of their platform, this makes my shriveled excuse of a penis feel inadecuate I must make an ass of myself to random people online" like seriously lmao
