The Avalanches just dropped their first single since 2016's Wildflower. It samples tracks by Smokey Robinson and The Roches, and features Blood Orange on vocals.
The version on Youtube linked above has a slightly longer outro than the version streaming on other services, with a choral section fading away over what sounds like Morse code. Morse code has been a common theme of this album rollout, used on their website and on recent billboards to tease the release of this single.
They included a description as well, officially announcing their new album:
"Sometimes we receive a message. Telling us our music has been there; through dark times, loneliness, loss.
There are no words to express how moving or profound this connection with you is.
Because the music was born out of such moments itself, and so it is felt, by those with open hearts, on the same wavelength it was first created.
Morse Code beamed and received by hearts and hearts alike.
Our new record is about such journeys, from darkness to light.
About life after (all kinds of) death. About the transcendent nature of music itself.

I love Since I Left You, and Wildflower had its moments (mainly Stepkids) but this is just meh

still think Subways and Sunshine are the best on Wildflower by far, and it's crazy the latter was added last minute cos it's the best song on the album (but that's the Avalanches for you lmao)
