Chuck Billy stated in a recent interview with Heavy New York:
"You're always trying to top your last record, and I thought 'Brotherhood', up to that point, was a pretty strong record. This one, it definitely stands on its own — all the songs have their own identity. Eric (Peterson, guitar) somehow came up with a way to make it be Testament but feel fresh and new still Testament, so that's pretty awesome". Chuck continued: "It was a quicker process than the last time, but I think at the end, the mix is awesome, the songs came out awesome, and the process wasn't as painful as it was the last time. So, it's a good record. I can't wait for everybody to hear it. On this record, we didn't get to work and do any demos, so a lot of it was a lot of riffs going into the studio with ideas and then fine-tuning it, which I think put the pressure on ourselves."

Well Andy Sneap mixed and mastered it so it'll, at the very least, sound really fucking good. Still impressed by the work he did on the newest Judas Priest LP
| | | cool, can't really go wrong with Testament lately. solid modern thrash.
| | | i am amused.
| | | Probably the only original thrash band worth caring about anymore
| | | This'll be a damn good record. Modern Testament just doesn't know how to disappoint.
| | | the full track of night of the witch is on spotify btw, good track overall, bit more varied tempo wise than stuff off brothrehood

Indeed. The big 4 have been sucking for several decades now.
New song rules.
| | | Didn't like the last album overall, but this sounds very promising.
| | | Damn every album since the Gathering has had incredible art. Song is great as well.
| | | Fuck yeah!
Still a blast live as well. Last time I saw them a few months ago I crawled out of the pit at the end of the gig with more than a few bruises and a left arm I could barely move. That's when you know it was a good show.
| | | You only become a real man after you've been in a mosh pit jamming Over the Wall
| | | Riffs very nicely, makes me excited for the new album.
| | | damn, awesome song! really looking forward to the album.
