Avant-garde metallers Today Is the Day have announced pre-orders to their long awaited eleventh studio album No Good To Anyone. The new record, being released through major BMG, will be the first since 2014's Animal Mother, and to celebrate its release the band has announced a US tour as well. Jef Whitehead, most known for his Leviathan project, has done the artwork for the album.

Pre-orders for the album on CD and LP formats are available through the group's storefront:
www.todayistheday.bigcartel.com

More information on tour dates and venues are available on their Facebook page:

This news follows the release of the new songs "You're All Gonna Die" and the titular "No Good To Anyone", both from the new album.

I don't know if I'd ever call Today is the Day "avant-garde."

"I don't know if I'd ever call Today is the Day 'avant-garde'." Have you HEARD Sadness Will Prevail? They do so many different things, noise rock, sludge, grind, tape manipulation, piano songs, world music, ballads, just on that record. And their sound is so malleable across their discog that I'd give them that avant garde/experimental label pretty easily.

Anyways, these singles are solid. Even if it's only as good as Animal Mother, it'll be good to hear new material from Steve and co.
