New Trvth LP out now

2019-12-12 by CaptainDooRight | 7 Comments
Solo artist Trvth has released its newest offering, Inordinate and Surpassing on bandcamp for free streaming and download.

The album was created in a similar vain to Black Horse Plague; to showcase a seamless flow throughout and to add variances of the darkened/melancholic genres of metal. At times the album can be mellow and other times it can be exciting, pushing, and punishing. In all of its extremes, Inordinate and Surpassing is filled with melodies and emotion and aims to put its listener into a journey like trance.

Bumpitty bump.

I've digested the whole thing, and I only have 3 criticisms which are fairly minor for the most part.

1) The Type-O cleans on What On Earth... ooof. The only part of the album that I disliked.

2) Formulaic Emotions is a nice interlude, but the placing seems off since it leads into Blurry, which has it's own clean intro already. I would have stuck the interlude in the middle of the album maybe.

3) The transition from Blurry intro to the rest of the song feels jarring around 2:05, the sound just cuts out abruptly and the rest of the song kicks in. Maybe that was intentional, I dunno.

Other than these nitpicks, this is a great album. Drums sound fantastic especially.
