From two back-to-back listens, I would definitely give it at least a 3.5++, this has the kind of acidic, asphyxiating, tendon-severing , Norwegian black metal riffs I learned to like during the late '90s. And that's merely one element of the album.

I wonder how the previous two albums sound.

I take it you haven't heard his other records then? Was going to ask which one you'd say is a good entry point

^^I don't know if this album is a good point of entry to Merda Mundi, but I know that this one is very fulfilling on its own. Eventually, I will check the other two LPs.

The intensity combined with the technical prowess and the overall sound, are next to ridiculous.
