They have a clear formula, this is far from what we come to expect from them, they do a little experimenting but at their core they're a pop band.

what is their formula? they've had shoegaze, ambient, glitch etc. on their records. it's a jack of all trades deal, so it ain't that surprising they've added post-hardcore to the mix

fucking thank god, their last album had so much potential (i.e. "Love it if We Made it," "Sincerity Is Scary") and i'm glad that they're actually trying to push boundaries (albeit not that much) like they've advertised themselves as. excited for this record a lot more than A Brief Inquiry, hopefully Notes on a Conditional Form will be much more consistent and ambitious then Inquiry

I can dig it. That music video is fucking great! Never actually listened to their discography, but props to them for doing something completely different and doing it surprisingly well

first 1975 track I actually listened to and Im impressed. Nice mixture between old school post hardcore and dance punk. definitely my kinda shit

They do most genres super well if you enjoy danceable as hell pop music with (mostly) great lyrics and performances.

On another note, their reading/leads performance of this is absolutely ridiculous.

I like danceable punk to a certain extent, couldn't care less about pop tho
