Childspeak (PDX) have released their second and final music video for their new album Indulgent Endeavors, premiering on Heavyblogisheavy.com.

"Similar to other bands existing within this sphere like And So I Watch You From Afar, Arms of Tripoli, Afformance, In Each Hand a Cutlass, The Physics House Band, SEIMS, and others, Childspeak excel at luring listeners in with sweet and satisfying riffs, motifs, and rhythms while continually tweaking and throwing compositional twists in to keep the music constantly dynamic and prevent the listener from getting too complacent or comfortable at any given moment." -Nick Cusworth, Heavyblogisheavy.com

As far as the themes explored in the video are concerned, guitarist and art director Bri Childs offered the following:

"The album is about indulgence, critical reality, good and bad, light and dark. Everything that is beautiful in the world and everything that is most evil in the world is caused by indulgence. And there are typically very beautiful intentions behind evil and very evil intentions behind beauty. Evil and beauty are not opposites. They can often times live close to one another on the spectrum of human intentions."

She also elaborated on the journey of the music and main character in the video, Thirst, played by Nick Greene:

"Thirst is played by our assistant recording engineer for the record, Nick Greene. I have been drawing Thirst for as long as I can remember, and he is very near and dear to our band, appearing in the majority of our artwork to date. I think that telling stories through Thirst's lens has allowed us to explore sensitive topics that would be too frightening to explore ourselves. Thirst represents music in my mind, as music offers me the same luxury. This is why I am so attracted to instrumental music; it allows us to explore emotions and postulate about the world around us in a vehicle that has no defined parameters or limits."

Indulgent Endeavors is out March 8th, 2019 via Waipea records.
